PTE Scoring
The PTE Academic Performance Report contains the total ranking, ratings for communicative abilities and supporting ratings for abilities. The overall score reflects your ability to speak English overall. The score for all things in the test is dependent on results.
The score range for the total is 10-90 points. Total scoring would be marks obtained out of 90. Marks of 65 out of 90 is considered to be good in terms of English proficiency level.
PTE Academic is measured against the Global English Scale, a thermometer-style scale that gives you an objective summary of your competencies. The English Global Scale aligns with a number of common tests and scales across the globe.
PTE Training
Even if English is your first language, all applicants must prepare for PTE Academic. Applicants who find themselves fluent in English often score less well on English tests than they should have, since their performance on the day is influenced by lack of training.
When the PTE training and practice is done, the answers clarify the marking scheme. The same test should then be repeatedly taken at every break explaining the same thing to the students with different sets of questions. In this way the testing is completed on all exams. Mock-tests are administered after classroom sessions simulating the test conditions and scores are given for each mock test.
